Add and verify Google search console property
Google search console is a tool that is used by Google for information about your website pages and content. Here you can update Google about any changes in your website.
This tool will update you about your website performance and error etc. So after creating a blog, it is really necessary to add your blog or website in Google search console to inform google about your website and content.
Adding property to google search console:
In blogger:
Go to the blogger settings tab, scroll down, you will find there Google search console.
1. Login with your Google account.
2. Next, click on add property, as given below.
3. Now add your blog url (paste your blog's homepage url) and click on continue.
Now your blogger blog is added to google search console and. It will be auto verified because it ihas been added through blogger.
To add websites made on another platform:
You need to add sites directly on google search console but it will not be auto verified.
Then how to verify?
1. After adding your site, you will be asked to verify your ownership. There will be 4-5 ways to verify your ownership. So I am going to tell you the way to verify your ownership through dns records.
2. Click on domain name provider. On the next screen, you will be given a text record to add in your dns management section like below:
3. Copy it after pasting it in your dns records section, you have to click here on verify later.
So now let's add it in dns section:
A. Login to your domain name provider website.
B. Click on your domain. Find dns section like below:
Note: it could look some different on your domain provider. I am showing here of hostinger but don't worry, just find the name.
C. Find now dns records as you are watching in the below given image. To add text record replace 'A' record with text record.
D. In rectangle area, you are watching here 'A' record, replace it with 'txt' record and then paste here in points to box 'copied content' as in below given image. Now click on add record.
So now your text record has been added. Finally, go back on google search console and click on verify button. Your blog will be verified. If doesn't happen, wait. Check back after 5-6 hours.
Still doesn't happen. Repeat this whole process again.
